My Story

Theresa Maughan is a dedicated teacher leader and educational equity advocate with over 40 years of experience. Maughan was appointed to the New Jersey Department of Education Diverse and Learner-Ready Teachers (DLRT) Initiative committee, and the State Professional Learning Committee (SPLC). Maughan has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field of education, including being awarded the prestigious 2023 Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence. Maughan's passion for providing equitable and inclusive education for all students is at the forefront of her work.

"Equitable education is not a privilege, it is a right. As an educator, it is my responsibility to ensure that every student has access to the resources and support they need to succeed."
